So i was about to start my car for the first time and guess what it didn't. I'm almost 100% positive its not any wiring problems. This is the thing though when i turn the key to the ON position it acts like any other car it beeps the windows can go down the light in the gauge cluster turn on the fuel pump activates etc etc. When i go to turn on the car though the lights dim out and nothing happens. Another thing i noticed since it was hot yesterday i turned on the fan in the car and when i went to turn the car on again (thinking the battery might not have fully charged or something) the lights dimmed and the fan turned off but once i turn the car back to the on position the fan turns on and the lights get brighter again. I'm guessing since the car has been sitting for about 2 years in the other guys garage the battery might have lost its energy and can turn the lights on but not the car?

any help is appreciated

If the car has been setting for 2 years, the battery is dead. Charge it up and see if that corrects the problem. While you have the battery out charging, check/clean the terminals.

^^i most definetly agree with this...and i would also add new fuel to the tank before running it empty on 2 year old fuel thats just been sitting.

oh i forgot to say this whole thing was happening while the battery was being charged. The terminals are perfect not even one spot on them. so I'm guessing its was just using the battery from the charger not the car battery.

my first step would be to try jumping it. Also exactly what do you mean by nothing happens? like just clicks, trys to turn over but to no success? depending on what it is, it could be like an alternator or starter, but start small and jump it.

What i did is like the same thing as jumping it. It's a battery pack with jumper cables and you connect it and turn it on and it charges the battery. Also when i go to start it nothing happens at all it doesn't even try to start no clicking or anything. The only things that happen is what i posted above.

I would check into the relays; there should be a clicking when you turn the key to start if its working and given the fact that you're not getting that would lead me to believe that its malfunctioning.

Just buy the new one. Worst thing that will happen is you exchange your old battery when you get a new one, they test t.he charge and tell you it's fine

ok so i bought a battery and the car still doesnt turn on it doesnt even try. There is a click and everything that i said in my first post happens but still it doesnt turn on or try's to turn on. please help guys. thanks alot

ok so today i got the car to start but not from the driver seat. I ran a wire from the power wire of the starter to the little black wire of the starter and engine started. But when i turned it off and went to try it again it tried to start but it sounded like it was winding and a little smoke was come from around the area of where the breather filter was (the place where i put a small filter which connects to a small tube on the head of the engine). anybody know what could be wrong now?
