Ok guys..I've got a problem, I just installed my SAFC and got my car tuned to where it runs good with my 550 injectors etc etc. But for some reason after a hard run of the car, when I push in the clutch, the rpms fall down and the car dies. Also I can be cruising along and my car will start spuddering and missing and my wideband will read REALLY lean..Then I have to push my clutch in again and it will die. Then I start it up and go for another mile or so and it will start doing it again. So I looked at my plug wire and where my wires go into my head onto the spark plug, it seems like something keeps pushing them off the plug and I have to push them back down on it. It only happens on my #3 cylinder and I replaced the headgasket AND the spark plug tube gaskets last weekend. What could be causing the random spuddering/dying when clutch is in and my plug wires to push off the plugs? Any help would be great and Merry Xmas!!
 
Yes I do have it vented...But would that really cause it to die? Also I was planning on getting a GMMAF + MAFT instead of the MAS...Does the safc work well with the AFC?
 
Yes that would really cause it to die. If you really wanna a good setup id reccomend ECM link and going with the GM Maf. Other then that the maft with the translator will work fine with the SAFC. Yes as said venting will cause those symtoms. That's really lean though and usually venting makes it rich in between shifts. Have any exhaust leaks? That will cause your wideband to read lean also. Also check for boost leaks.
 
I have no exhaust leaks at all...but what if one of my cylinders is losing spark while driving, would this cause a lean or rich condition?
 
If you were misfiring you ought to see a lean spike. Since the mixture didn't ignite there is a lot of free oxygen in the exhaust and the WB sensor ought to show a sudden and short lived lean mixture. There is a lot of very good information at the Innovative Motorsport's tech pages and forum.
