car die out after 30 min. of driving

i might be getting me a 94 talon tsi. the only problem is that after 30 minute of driving the car would completely shut off. what can be causing this problem?

this car i might get for free only if i can figure out what the problem is.

whats the temp when it cuts off. are u running it hot if so check and see if u need fluids and also check if the fans are running.

does it die while driving? or just when you let it idle? if it dies while idling, it might be something like the throttle position sensor, lack of throttle cable tension

it would die when its at idle. trying my best to convince my friend to take it and give it to me because the only way i can get it for free is if his dad take it.

got until july to get it.

i had the same thing in my 91 gs i couldnt find out why it was doing it so i bought my tsi awd

well, i just talk to him today and his dad does not want to get it because it is a 6 hour drive just to get the car and another 6-8 hour drive to get back to my place with the car.
