Just replaced my alternator today drove great until i started losing power slowly, then it dies. why would i lose all my power? help me out i love my dsm

fuse is fine i do have subs but they're disconnected from everything at the moment. what am i checking for with the voltmeter? new alternator, new battery ,new ecu just fixed by ecmlink. This is weird

Your checking the voltage at the battery and at the alternator B+ stud.
Measure with the car off, car idling, and car idling with the headlights, rear window defroster, and blower motor running. One more measurement with the engine at about 2k would complete the picture.

With a charged battery you should see 12.6v with the car off and at least 13.6v at idle. If the voltage drops lower than that when you turn on the accessories you have a bad alternator that can't handle the load.

The voltage shouldn't go over 15v anytime or the regulator in the alternator is bad.
