ok its 20 degrees out today in PA and my car literally takes about 10 minutes of driving under 2500 rpms untill she will boost correctly and pull like it should -- up intill that point the car hesitates even when theres a small amout of boost, or no boost

I dont dare go above 2500 rpms untill my temp gague gets to at lest 1/4 the way up

partially because its so darn cold out and i want the metal in my block to expand

anyways ive got a couple buddies who have these cars and there in the same elment as me and there all warmed up literally a mile away from there drive way

could this be an o2? there just taking forever to warm up and causing my crap response and then when there finally warmed up it starts reading voltage and it starts driving well

if its 35 degrees or warmer the car takes about half that time to warm up

any thoughts guys?

i enjoy driving the car with out a doubt but i just dont want the motor to go up in smoke if a decide to pull out in front of a truck or get on it on an onramp before those 10 minutes are up

thx guys

Wake up a little earlier, and go start your car, then go back inside for those 10 mins, that's what I do. You should always let your car warm up before you drive it anyways to allow the oil to recirculate throughout the engine.

Or, you could buy your self a remote start, and start it from inside your house. Either or. But as stated, with any car, you should always let it warm up before driving it. It gets the oil warm and circulating throughout the engine, and it helps to prolong engine life.

Although we have some cold days in Va but no quite as bad as yours I've had some of the same issues before. There could be more than one culprit but it's nothing you can do other than letting it warm up. I pretty much narrowed mine down to the 660 injectors being very cold natured. Also if you have any engine management it could be the tune not used to the cold conditions

ok so came home from school tonight ,, it was literally 6 degrees out but i was having the same issues on the highway -- and its a 3:30 hr drive home from school

as long as i was going about 70 the turbo was boosting and there was no hesitating -- if i droped her to 65, the temperature gague would drop down to about 1/4 or so and if i coasted down a hill or just was off the gas in cruse control for a little while she would start almost skipping or just loosing power untill would almost have to romp on it to get things warms again -- i know its DARN cold out but seriously this bites --

im going to be replacing my throttle body seals here shortly and getting rid of any other boost leaks i got -- the plug have about 3 K on them so ill check them to see if there fouling but i doubt it -- any other ideas guys

or am i just living with a 15 year old car:cry:

thank you -- those symptoms along with real poor gas mileage had me just come to that conclusion

appreciate the advice:thumb:

I have a new thermo, radiator, waterpmp., recently and the temp gauge always stays straight up and down. The talon has the best and quickest heat of all of my vehicles. It has been real cold this year with lots of below 0 F temps. My wifes A-4 turbo sucks and oh' will get spanked red by the talon. Tres...
