Car Accident, need quick help, answer question

Some lady ran into my 1996 talon. All the damage was hitting the wheel. Not sure what to look for in repairing the car, like what all could be damaged but i'm still looking into that. Towing place said it looked like i broke an axle, insurance company is totaling car out. Is there any way I can possibly repair my pride and joy? Or am i off to search for another dsm?

If they're totaling it out, you may as well get a new car since the title isn't going to be clean anymore, but "salvage" or "rebuilt," and a lot of insurance providers will up their rates or just not insure you--and the car won't sell as well with a blemish on the title like that whenever you would decide to sell it in the long run .

Agreed, the title won't be clean, and resell value will be shittier then it all is. Take the money and run.

but you could take the money and get a awd turbo and be a lot happer
us dsm guys are use to fixing things
so a axle is no problem

If you can, try to take all your current mods out. Its to your advantage.

there is more damage than what you say. the insurance company wont total the car over just an axle..

They should give you the option to buy it back after they pay you. Depending on what the buy back price is you may be able to buy it back (they take it out of the payment) and resell it for more. I bought a car of mine back for $100 and sold it for $500 the next day. That should help you along your way to a gsx.

Of course you could also buy it back and fix it cheapely, but that doesn't get you a gsx, does it?
