Caps questions on a 2nd Gen?

Is the leaking caps issue also an issue for the 2g or just the 1g? If so what do i replace them with? I am getting my ECU socketed and was told about the leaky caps issues but he isn't 100% sure it is only a 1g problem. When i searched, it seems like this is only a 1g issue but i wanted to be certain. Thanks for any and all help.
