Just installed my HKS turbo timer, Everything works beautifully except one thing, my Keyless entry doesnt work if the car is running on the turbo timer. i can lock the door with the button and unlock with key, but the remote does nada. Any suggestions?

The reason why you cant unlock or lock your doors is because the car still "thinks" the keys are in the ignition. I believe the tt harness has 3 wires that connect to the ign switch. 1 ground and 2 acc power lines. If your radio still works while the tt is on, that is your prob. You will need to cut the one wire. You dont really need the power to your radio when the tt is on. If you have any question feel free to IM me.

Ok well mine works fine, i have a greddy TT with the harness and i can lock and unlock my doors with the turbo timer on. Did you hard wire it in or use a harness?

If you have a GReddy TT and you cannot use your keyless during the cool-down, then try this: before starting the car next time, press all three buttons on the TT simultaneously.

Cool, huh?

ps. take the car out of gear before trying this, just in case

I used the harness, mine is an HKS turbo timer, And I CAN lock the doors, from the inside. I CANT using the keyless entry. My car does think the key is in , stereo does work. its also annoying me that if I need to get BACK in the car, i cant unlock it with the keyless entry until the turbo timer shuts off. More annoying is Id like to be able to leave my car RUNNING with the keys in(i live in maine, its friggin cold) I have 2 keys, id like to be able to leave the car running, lock it with keyless entry while I run in the store. Cant figure out how to get this owrking though LOL

I have the CompuStar 2WFM alarm/starter with turbo timer and I can lock and unlock fine during cool down.

did you look at that TT install guide from about 3 posts ago . . . ^^^

i did, it just mainly confused the shit out of me, From everything ive read I wihs i hadnt wasted my money on the timer and harness and the 120$ in total i paid Mitsu for the remote, for the total of 240$ i couldve gotten a security system with keyless entry, remote start and turbo timer built in. What i get for not reading first. Guess im going to probably look into it then sell my turbo timer and harness and suck up the remote cost. After reading that FAQ on hacking the ignition it just doesnt seem like something i want to do :)

paid mitsu for a remote? ouch . . . well best of luck- it's really not that difficult to do really.
Just a snip here, a splice there, a little electrical tape . . . and it's all done - consider it out-patient surgery
:p
