the shift knob must be stripped, and it bothers me when i drive casue the knob spins i cant tighen it, or take it out, what should i do

Dude, I had that same problem. I had to take a freak’n hacksaw and cut thru the knob. It was all stripped out, so I had to find a knob that you don’t twist on. I found a pretty cool one actually.
Check it out.

It’s got 3 screw points in the knob. You just tighten them up, and you’re good to go.
You may want to call these guys before you order though. I had a big problem with them not having the item in stock.

Anyway, I hope that helps!

Is it the stock knob, or a replacement? The factory has a nylon insert that has the threads in it- if you lift while turning, you should be able to get a bite and turn it back off. Otherwise, yeah, hacksaw or Dremel and a cutoff.

The threads on the stick should be fine. Still, a nice time to get a K&N copy short shifter off eBay.....
