can't get tranny off of motor, help!

im in the middlle of taking my tranny off, and i have disconnected and unbolted everything. the problem is, the tranny won't come apart from the motor. i get it like 1/2 inch away from the motor all around, but it seems like there is like a rod in the middle holding on the the motor. cuz when i pull it apart, i can sorta turn it a little like my wheels when its on jackstands.

you need to pull the input shaft out away from the clutch and motor

Yes, like turbo8u said, there is an input shaft from the tranny into the clutch and you will have to pull the tranny back farther than 1/2 inch to pull them apart. The shaft just slides out, so keep pulling.....
