I had a little accident awhile ago when i hit a curve. Ever since then i can't get my full boost, which is 16psi. I already looked at all the pipes and they are on are on tight, checked all the lines and there ok. I disconnected the boost controller and the car had no problem boosting past 16psi. Is it possible my boost controller got damaged by the impact?Because no matter how much i turn up the boost it won't go past 14-15

I had the same problem. I checked all the hoses, pipes, everything!! turns out my boost guage was bad. :shhh: just a thought.

no it;s not the gauge but thanks for the inpute!

yes i turned the boost controller like 8clicks+ and still nothing!

if i make a leak tester how do i use it?

I have the same problem. I can't get mine past 14.5-15psi. It spikes to 16 which is where I want it to stay, but no matter how much I turn it I can't get it to go any higher. Maybe I'll do another boost leak test

Well, i just looked at my side mount intercooler and their are 3 little rocks which made holes in it!

But the rock are still stuck inside the fins, do you think this can cause this problem?

The only way to be sure you have no boost leaks is to pressurize the whole system. Looking over things, poking it with a stick, and tightening worm drive clamps won't get you too far.

Yes, holes in your intercooler will be a problem.

When you run with no boost signal to the actuator it boost higher so that rules out the wastegate being open or not closing fully. I'd suspect the boost controller itself.

If you have no access to a compressor pick up a tank used to hold compressed air...fill it at a gas station, and use that.
