i have replaced my shaft seals countless times in the last couple weeks trying to figure out why it is leaking from the TPS sensor. i have looked over the sensor for a crack and even changed it for another one. when i perform a BLT it wont build up to 2 psi even cause the air is just leaking out so fast. i dont know where to go next i have tried RTV seal and a different TB. If someone else has had this problem could you please chime in, thanks.

the air is coming from this side.

Just to make sure I understand, you do or do not know exactly where the leak is? Have you tried a new seal on the throttle position sensor? Also make sure you have a gasket on both sides of the throttle body (I know this probably goes without saying, the best of us forget simple things sometimes.)

new throttle position sensor seal? im not sure if i have one because i never heard of one. i do have new gaskets on both sides. im not 100% positive but when i put my fingers down there i cant feel it below the sensor but out from the side the picture is taken from.

In the picture it looks like the screw on the top side of the sensor isn't tightened. The head of the screw isn't touching the seat. Is it possible the screws got switched out sometime and its bottomed out before its getting tight?

The TPS is never meant to be an airtight seal. If you're leaking air from there it will be the shaft seal on that side.

I had a real leaky TB shaft seal there once and tried to remedy it by trying to 'seal' with the TPS, i RTV'd and even cut a small rubber gasket to fit the edge of the TPS, it kind of worked but still leaked.

I rebuilt that throttle body with good seals and have had no problems since.

Looking at the picture it seems that the tps doesn't even sit flush with the flange. Maybe warped if that's possible. I see a little crack under the tps where air can leak from

the screw is all the way down and does not bottom out, dosent look like it in the picture but it is. the thing is though i have replaced them 4 times with the seals from extremepsi and its the same problem. i had a buddy rebuild it after i failed how many times and it still hasnt sealed yet. the seals are put in straight with dielectric grease and the plate rotates smoothly everytime just leaks from that side.
