I am trying to replace the upstream o2 sensor and i cannot find it for the life of me it says its located on the exaust manifold but when i look where the exaust manifold connects to the downpipe theres a sensor on the downpipe is this it?, i took it out it doesnt look like the replacment one i have and the plug isnt the same although the wires are the same colors do you think maybe i got a diff plug maybe they gave me one for the 4g63? im mind boggled right now. quick replys would be awsome i drove an hour to my grandparents garage sicne they have all the tools to fix it. :)

So you found the o2 sensor right? If the plugs dont match you got the wrong sensor. Its happen to me before.

So that sensor on the downpipe from the exaust manifold is it right? i asked napa for the upstream o2 sensor and they gave me one the colors match but the plugs dont if its the same thign just different plug ill cut and splice it.

i went to napa i said i need a replacment upstream o2 sensor i received the bosch one.

Im not convinced the sensor on the downpipe is the one if somone with a 420a can tell me exactly where its located i can take another look.

Its on the downpipe, I used to own a 1995 talon N/T with the 420a. Its on the left side of the downpipe, about a foot down.

ok then ive found it the sensor looks a little different but thats fine but the main problem im now faced with is the connector plug its not matching up. the sensor i have is a bosch model number 13425.

That's the correct part number. Can you take a pic of the ends of your old and new sensors so we can see what the difference is?

yeah i wired it correctly so i just drove an hour drive back to my house wow gas milege is a lot better it seems and it doesnt want to stall under a thousand rpms any more it doesnt shake when im in park anymore and my cel light is gone. im so happy
