Why not just put a 2Gb talon front bumper on it? Best looking 2G bumper available, you get to keep your headlights, and you don't have a ricey body shit (oops I mean kit ). Everybody wins!

QFT. What you do with your car should be what you like. Whether that means keeping it bone stock appearance-wise and going for huge power, or going nuts on the exterior/interior and staying fairly stock engine-wise.

In the end its your car, and the only opinion that should matter is your own.

With that said, that BC2 bumper with the shaved foglight holes looks pretty good. In my opinion it's the cleanest aftermarket bumper available for our cars.

Second pic for sure...however basically changing 3 peices (headlights/bumper/spoiler) hardly negates the fact that he has an aftermarket body kit on his car. I was reassuring the OP that a kit can look decent.

The thing that bothers me with this whole topic is the fact a company selling a body kit and the picture they use to show it off. Not one body panel lines up, the bumper doesn't fit well at all.

Yeah there is a lot of claim to going rice by adding a body kit.... well performance wise I was looking at the duraflex Drifter front bumper. it has a lot of airflow for a larger fmic. and this is what I plan on getting in the far future. engine, interior, then exterior.

I think I'm gonna try and show a few people that not everything put on a car makes it rice.... with those area's cleaned up, I think it'll pretty much look like a slightly more aggressive stock 2gb bumper.

If I get it, do the modifications to it, and don't like it, I'll sell it to some kid who likes that kind of shit.

With all of the money you will have into that silly bumper it would cost less to just get a 2Gb Eclipse bumper or modify a 2Gb bumper to be "more aggressive." People always come onto DSMTuners to ask about body kits and the funny part is, the people that stick up for it usually has a shitty pile of junk in their driveway. There has only been one real nice car with a body kit and that person saw the light and his car is now 10billlllllllion times nicer. Not only are they ugly and little kids cry when they see them, its worthless. The money you spend on that junk that will find its way making your car look like crap, could be spent making your car look clean and well built. Stock front bumper, 103 shipped and Primered waiting for paint! Paint depends on who does it and your done. Clean!

Paul's car still has aftermarket fenders, hood, sideskirts, rear bumper, wing, front lip, and paint. And it still looks awesome. So I think your example is invalid.

I agree that obnoxious body kits are ugly and stupid, but whats wrong with a little exterior styling? How is anyone supposed to make their car stand out appearance wise if all our cars look 100% stock on the outside?

$140 for the bumper and a little bit for materials... I like working with fiberglass, so my time would be used doing something I enjoy, it wouldn't feel like work. it may be simpler to just get a 2gb bumper, but then im also looking at another $200 at least for headlights to fit that bumper, and i already spent $250 on the lights I have now... so in the grand scheme of things, converting over to a 2gb will cost at least $500 more than the aftermarket.

I said rice kit because there is a large number of people who view anything other than stock is strictly rice, and that point was proven with a few posts in this thread. I don't like overly extravagant body kits that you see all over the place... they look like shit and offer nothing to help the car at all... not even looks... but there are those very few kits out there which look decent, not gaudy or hideous. This happens to be one of those kits.. and with a little time into it, would look pretty good IMO, which someone did the liberty of photoshopping to show.

2g bumpers are sexy wether it be Talon or Eclipse! Personnally lowered and a nice set of wheels is probbably 80% of the "show not go" mods dsm's need. I happen to like CF hoods

I was actually thinking of that bumper for my car, i like how it looks like a modded 2gb, made from duraflex and is fairly clean...top 5 maybe even top 3 as far as aftermarket goes

I saw it in person and had mixed feelings about it idk why

These body kits are not easy to put on. they require alot of modifacation to fit properly. i'll probablly catch some s#!t for these but here is the front and back bumper. still have the sideskirts to go.

I got this kit from extreme dimensions so its their duraflex material... these are hand molded peices and honestly they dont fit very well. Both front and back peices hit on the actual bumper, the back body line on the sides of the car has a slight radius but the body kit just goes strait up. IMO it looks pretty good on the car. just need to get those sideskirts on and its off for body and paint work.

is the only other one i've seen.

EDIT* Forgot to mention my car had some front end frame damage when i got it... pretty sure that affected the fitment, and thats why front is multiple colors
