Can you use a 6-bolt drivetrain on a 2G?

Good luck with that.. The unibodies are totally different. However, with enough money, time, patients and know how anything can be done.. But heres a little look. Heres a 1g rear subframe Redirect Notice

annnd a 2g rear subframe. Redirect Notice

As you can see they are significantly different. Also to take into consideration are the fuel tanks. 1g's have the fuel tank mounted behind the subframe and 2g's are in front of/above the subframe.

If you have a 2G GSX, why would you want the 1G drivetrain? Not asking like a smart@$$, I'm seriously curious.
