is it possible to make your own pocket logger cable and if so does anybody have any methods of doing so. Any info is useful, thanks.

For a 1G you can, I don't think you can make one for a 2G. Pocketlogger.com is your best bet.

Building one for the 2g is pretty much impossible unless you can get the wiring schematics for those that are out there, pocketlogger for example. If you want a cheap alternative you can go to multiplex engineering.

I paid like $85 shipped or so for the cable. This will not come with software but there are free datalogging softwares out there. Search for either MMCD or palmnstein. I had palmnstein and it worked alright. If you go with pocketlogger you get the hadware and software for $125. Some of the coding for pocketlogger was done by Hal Landry who did the palmnstein software.

I used the T16-003 for the palmnstein software.

I don't know if this will work, but if someone has a working pocketlogger setup and wants to test it out -

Not a casual search, but with google and some patience I'm finding some stuff that might be of use

That looks like everything I can find out there - there's schematics, software, programming, etc.. I think with those links you should be able to have yourself a business of making ODB to DB9 cables... if you *do* happen to do this, do I get a free one for finding all the info?
