Can you hear/feel when wg flapper opens?

3 inch dp and exhaust and when flapper opens i swear i can hear and feel it.. is it just me?

I dont know if its hearing or more "feeling" it... but seems like since I went to a 3inch dp the upper range where flapper opens during WOT has a rumble to it and not so much just cruising

Maybe the wastegate has internal rust making its open and close process harder, but still possible? No idea honestly. Just shooting a theory.

its a new experience on this car now that exhaust is not an open DP anymore.. made me think it was having issues

You should be able to hear it. When it opens your flowing more exhaust so it should change the tone or get slightly louder

I would agree with the above. It is re-routing exhaust gases so there should be a slight tone change, the only thing you should be able to "feel" is the plateau of boost (no longer building boost).
