Pretty easy to replace the axle if you do it right. Pop the hub bolt. Take off lower control arm (both hub-side and frame-side), get out your pickle fork and pop the tie rod end off. Get in there, take your pickle fork or screwdriver, give it some good blunt hits to the pickle fork to pop the axle out. Done!
