Ok im new to the DSM thing... V-8 guy here.. Ive got a BAD knock in the motor..sounds like a rod bearing has gone :confused: .... Really bad knock :notgood: ... havent drivin the car bought it with a spun bearing.... Are there any tech articles... Anyone ever done this before.. i cant find anything on Vfaq about changing rod bearings.... Any help would be great :thumb: , Pics, How-to articles.. Anything PLEASE!!

Pick up a manual on CD, it's the way to go. :thumb: Like said above motors are all fairly similar V-8's or little 4 bangers. ROFL
 
Welcome to the DSM community. :thumb: Best thing you can do right now is buy a Haynes manual and sleep with it under your pillow. :D J/K. It really will help you though. It lists all the clearances, tolerances , and torque specs you'll need. It also has a fairly detailed process for tearing down and rebuilding your motor. You can find one at Advance Auto and AutoZone. Good Luck and let us know what you find. :thumb:
