can some help me with turbo setup wont fit on stock side

Can anyone help or tell me why my aftermarket turbo won't fit on the same side as the stock turbo it will only fit on the opposite side and than it gets in the way of the wastegate...if you can help me please let me know

Details are a fantastic thing. I've seen people have to reorient the entire turbo setup because of size/fitment issues. I actually remember reading about a member on here who rerouted a 20g to face vertically to avoid contact with his fan set up. Although I think he had oil/cooling issues afterwards. Interesting thread though.

Prob got a turbo that comes off of a NEON SRT-4.

That turbo is built reverse since the 2.4L layout has the turbo on the back side since the exhaust heads out the back of the motor than the front as the 4G63 does along with being a proprietory turbo-can't fit onto anything else. And it spins opposite than a TDOH does.

Why one should stay with ones built for our setups.

Its a garret 60 trim turbo but the manifold is for a 4g63 but as soon as I put it on the stock side were its supposed to be at it hits the motor but it will fit perfect on opposite side

This is still so confusing. How badly is it hitting the motor, I mean like dent the water pipe and it fits or like no freakin way it will fit? Pictures really would be worth a million words in this instance.

Man this is the most confusing help thread I've ever seen. Most likely an evo turbo.
