Can no MAS cause check engine?

Just as the question states... Could having the MAS un-plugged cause the check engine light to go on?

I happend to have mine unplugged while working with the intake... and forgot to plug it back in, drove around, and noticed that the Check Engine Light was on. After looking all around the Engine bay... and Right at the unplugged MAS for several minutes... I realized it was unplugged, and proceeded to plug it back in. The light stayed. I then Turned off the car, let it cool for a bit, and re started it. the light was still there. Am i looking at a different problem here? or does it just take a little while for the MAS to be recognized?


Also, with the MAS unpluged, could this result in the turbo really bogging?

Unhook the negative terminal from the battery for 5 min for the ecu to reset, if it's still on after that then it's probably something else.
