No you can not use the stock gasket becuase they have a bubble around each port that seals the manifold the the head. And when you torque the bolts down it compresses the bubble to make a good seal. Stock gaskets are not cheap

yeah im trying to do it tommorow morning becuase im going to the track ... ok well tonight now LOL ill run up to auto zone and advanced auto parts and see what they have .... thanks man ill give you some rep points

My cousin used to work at advance auto parts. Have you ever seen felpro gaskets for our cars? I would never run a felpro gasket let alone a head gasket. Im not criticizing you for saying that you would use one, but they are only 45 dollars at the dealer. But i guess if you need a quick fix that would do it; however as soon as possible i would switch back over to stock.

Did you mean to say headgasket or exhaust manifold gasket? Headgaskets generally aren't used more than once, especially if you've used a copper gasket spray on them.

Stainless steel exhaust manifold gaskets can be re-used, stock organic-type ones cannot. Before I got my stainless gasket, I got a stock gasket (made by Felpro) from Advance Auto for $7.
