Ok, I have a 99 eclipse gs w/turbo upgrade. I had my car professionally tuned by a company in the san Jose bay area called dyno spot. They tuned it at 16lbs of boost on 91 octane. My question is: I have a greddy profect B boost controller and wanted to boosted it up to 26lbs at the track so would it be ok for me to just throw in 110 or 115 octane race gas and turn the boost up?? or will I need to get it retuned at 26 lbs and use a labtop to alternate between boost settings??

PLEASE HELPWTF

Which turbo do you have? The internals will more than likely handle 26 PSI, but a lack of fuel could kill your motor. You need to worry about the amount of fuel not just the octane. From 16 to 26 it WILL need to be retuned. Make DSMLink a next purchase and you can do all this yourself.:thumb:

Stock internals will not handle 26 psi. The internals you have however should be able to handle a good amount of boost but I don't know about 26 psi on a T66 turbo. That is a lot of boost on a big turbo but with a tune on DSMLink I wouldn't put it past your car to handle it. I notice the amount of mods you car has. I would think for the amount of money put in the car you would have some idea of how it works when you turn up the boost. Your injectors should be able to handle that power but I wouldn't turn it up until it is on a dyno again with DSMLink or a standalone system hooked up.

that motor is built up pretty beefy, i want to tell you that it should handle 26psi, but i don't want you to get boost crazy. and i agree with megadeth, you'll need to upgrade the fuel system before you keep turning up the boost.

DSMLink doesn't work with n/t ECU's. :)

You will probably need to go with a Standalone fuel system like AEM EMS or something. You will need Slicks or you will never hook up you FWD. It looks like you have a great set up with tons of mods. Your motor and everythign will support 26PSI. But you will never beable to go from 16PSI on the street to 26PSI at the track with out a tune like mentioned above that is to much of a gap. Good luck.

I have a haltech stand alone engine management system and huge injectors. Thanks for the info guys, I guess i am going to halfta take it back to the shop for a 26psi tuneOMG . Gonna bring my video camera for this one :thumb:
