Can i run a 2gb engine to ecu harness in a 2ga

Is it possible to run the 2gb wiring harness on a 2ga? is it plug and play or do i need to modify something?

I installed a 2gb enigne harness on my 2ga with a black top CAS, running a 2ga ecu (i also have a 2gb ecu). Now the car won't start. There is no spark, fuel pump is not working and the starter wont run if i try to start the car with the key.

If i try the starter directly from the battery, none of the above works either.

Also one of the mpi relays gets hot when i try this.

A 2gb and 2ga differences are in the body style of the car. If you installed a harness you need to check all of your grounds or nothing will work if it's not grounded properly. Get a test light and find our where you are losing power at in the harness.

Damn, memory is failing me but i think, THINK, that on 2ga's there are 2 separate relays to control fuel/spark vs just one on the 2gbs. Dont quote me. Also are you running a 2ga ecu? If so since you are running a black top 1g cas, you need to do 2 things.
1. Invert spark plug wires. order is now 3214
2. If you have link, click the "use non 95-96 cas" box
(3) If you dont have link then some injector wire swapping is in order.

This is not your issue currently though.Those are things to address once you are atleast sparking and getting fuel.
We need a wiseman in on this or someone who has a 2gb harness with a 2ga ecu(if that is infact what you have going on).

Yeah, at this time my only concern is no spark and fuel on the rail. i did change the relays to use the 2gb harness.

Well shoot, i was thinking the cas but even if you had it 180* out it would still try to fire and run rough. Youve got an issue with the wiring of the cas or the relay wiring not jiving with the 2ga ecu.
