Can anyone help me identify what this is and where it goes?

notice the nickel for comparison..

its much smaller than the plugs in the head... it actually fits inside the hex slot..

thanks for trying though..

keep suggestions coming.. i dont care if theyre wrong.. i just need places to check..

oh and there is only one..

Its from the engine somewhere, nice try on the shift nob thing though..

Um.. im thinking it came off somewhere around the intake or throttle body, but i cant figure out where..

its extremely small, cant believe i didnt lose it..

maybe its useless... doubt it though..

maybe some wise-men or knowledgeable people of the like might know..

or maybe someone threw this in my parts to eff with me..

i think i remember taking it out, i just dont remember from where.. LOL

PLEASE HELP!!

I've seen people pull out the nipples on the throttle body, then tap the hole and use a set screw like that to plug it. Any chance that's it?

it could be.. what nipples are u talkin bout? and i've been looking all over the throttle body and cant find any threaded holes that it would go in unless im just blind and its right in front of my face..

there are a couple of threads in the head that need bolts but this plug is too small to fit any of the threads ive seen.. sad day... i hate that this took so long to get together.. i cant remember taking anything apart specifically..

The small nipples on the very top of the throttle body. I don't recall ever seeing a plug that small from the factory anywhere on the engine.

i think this may be an unsolvable riddle.. guess ill put it all together and see if it runs..WTF
then if it does i wont worry about it but if anyone has anymore ideas.. fire away!

um.. im sorry to announce but all ideas so far have been incorrect.. i even pulled off the CAS to check if it was something inside of it.. no luck.. :banghead:

check around where the balance shafts are on the outside of the block i know there are some tiny little screws like that there on either the exhaust or intake manifold side

I wish i had a MBC! LOL.. um.. the screws by the balance shaft are much larger and Phillips headed.. and those plugs behind the cam gear are also larger...its a mystery.. guess i'll know if i get a leak.. i doubt its a devastating piece.. LOL

They are on the exhaust side of the Block and its right on the round bubble that sticks out from the Block, like he said, Where the Balance shaft is/would be. There is one at each end of that bulge. I would say this is most likely your culprit. Hope this helps.

The solution for now will be to put it in the "wtf is this pile"
