I have a 95 FWD TSi I've been working on for quite some time. I've got new engine, tranny, ACT clutch, ported big 16g turbo (pushing about 22psi), and FMIC. I got the car with a blown engine, in which the guy claimed there were new skunk2 cams installed. I took off the valve cover and took them out before sending my core out, and they look like the stock ones. My question is, how do you tell if they are in fact skunk2 cams?
Also, I've never taken the valve cover off on a good engine, and I don't want to ruin my new engine with my ignorance. Would it be worth it to install (HP-wise)? And how difficult a job is it?
