I have been searching this site for a few months now and can't find any info on N/T performance cams. I want something WILD but not something that sounds like it will stall at idle. I am going to be staying N/A. I just want some opinions on what to get. :dsm:

Not many guys on here go all motor, and the 420A doesn't see any massive power gains from adding a wild cam. The only cam i even know of off the top of my head is the Crane import power cam, might want to check out their site- and even at that I don't know if they make a 420A cam.

there are actually quite a few cams available for our cars. It's been discussed quite a few times; a quick search should bring something up.

Actually ive heard quite a few times that our cam is a really good designed cam, you dont even really need an aftermarket one. But the one i hear most people using is a crane cam. I think they have them at howell. to tell you the truth, you should just save the $400 from the cams and save to get a turbo... I have yet to see a nt 420a break 200whp (if im wrong my appologies) but thats just my .02

the stock cams are good, but upgrading is a good idea for someone looking for something a little more agressive and wanting to pull some more power from their engine. Before someone even considers new cams they should think about some supporting mods beforehand such as porting the intake, porting the Throttle body blah blah blah

Crane 0016 cams is what you want. My buddy had these in his 95 ESI... man they were bad@$$! You could hear the lobe at idle and they really made that thing pull. He ran it with stock cam gears also. If your staying N/A the 0016 is deffinatly what you want. However, if you plan on boosting your not going to want those cams.

My buddy was building a 2.4 for his 1g Neon RT. He got a set of custom made cams from crane. They would have been the equivilant to a Crane 0026 cam... he called it quits on that motor, but man I would have loved to see that thing run.
