i got a good amount of work done 2 my car but i dont have any head work do i need 2 upgrade my springs for the either cams. how rough does 272 cams run. its gonna be my every day driver. will it just be like a big cam in 8 cyl n run a lil rough in low rpms? how much power can i expect form stock cams to 264 and then 264 to 272? thanks

Is your profile updated??? Because if that is all you have, you will not gain much from the 272s. There are A LOT of topics on this, you should just search and READ.... READ A LOT, that is how you will be able to decide what is best for what you have. Remember that peak HP is not that important, you want to have all your mods supporting each other so you get the best powerband for you setup. :thumb: 272s take out your lowerend but pull very good on top in a well modded car, just know that you have to spin your motor up over 7500+ to get that power. ;)

My buddy daily drives his talon with an scm50 and 272's. Car idles almost as good as stock. He uses stock springs too with no problems.

I'll be running an agp rs49 with 272's on stock springs this summer when the snow disappears. I dont forsee any problems at all.

Honestly, I would rather have the 272's over the 264's all day long because I'm all about making power up top. Once the turbo spools, you're just banging thru gears like there's no tomorrow.

BTW.. I hope you're not still running the stock T-25 turbo as the 272s are really more about making high RPM power which that turbo won't like.

So from what John is saying there. It sounds like the 264 would work better with about any turbo system. It sounds like the 264's are more geared for mid ranged power?

Hope that helps....
