its finally going to start snowing tomorrow in NY. not where i live but further west.
for most AutoX guys in northeast, the season is pretty much over and your cars are all going into the garage for that "winter project" but you know what i'll be doing? still racing
im getting ready for this season's iceracing. i know there are events like this in canada considering the amount of snow they get. but anyways, if you are in the northeast area, more specifically, near the adirondacks, you should check this out.
im going to start off as a street class this season with some blizzaks and raising the car back up from being slammed. assuming my bumper will rip out if i go through a snow bank with my eclipse as it sits right now. i dont know if people are interested but if you got yourself a awd car, why not use it other than a fast launch? theres one guy with a dsm who looks to be competitive but i havent talked to him. who knows, he might be on DSMtuners.
if you want to improve your driving skills in icy/snowy conditions, this is a great way!
im just doing it to keep me from going crazy until AutoX is back
the only thing im concerned about is getting hit and denting my car..but im sure it'll be a blast! let me know what the AutoXers think! tips for prepping for the race would be great too.
