i agree, mlopez has a sweet vert T... i have some good engine bay shots of his ride, very high res... it's definately one of the cleanest engine bays i've ever seen... also krazy's tsi/eclipse is a great lookin car!! sorry for the additions... thanks for the nomination.. let me know what else i can do to help out with a pic

Also my scanner is down. I'll have my friend send you some more exterior pictures tonight. Also how many pictures are you gonna use per month. Just curious.

why not have one large picture as a feature pic, then a few smaller pics on the sides of interior shots, engine bay pics, other angles, mods list, power and track numbers, etc. would be more aesthetically pleasing than just one large picture. we need to display these machines in ALL of their beauty :cool:

Im with Adam on this one. Shots from different exterior angles and an interior shot would look nice equally spaced along the bottom of the main picture, IMO.
 
i was thinking the same thing but he wants to keep it simple.....alor of people have more on their interior or engine than the outside......just go with his ideas guys...hes putting in alot of huors to do this for everyone.....let him work it out...
 
I don't think all the cars should be chosen just based on looks alone. You should list track times and mod lists with each picture. Or maybe just make a calendar from the "Breathtaking DSM photos" thread?

I've considered getting a mod list kinda ps'd at the bottom of each picture I end up using that way the peoples mods would be listed PLUS get their usernames put in the top right. It's a good idea but I don't know if everyone I choose are people I can get a-hold of.

I can't get ahold of talond27a but hes one of the cars. If anyone can get me a good email or pm from him that would rock!

This isn't a novel, it is a calendar. Pictures are VERY important.

Right.
I could honestly see me putting the username that they have on tuners if that would make people happy and it wouldn't be hard to actually ad that in at all.

Because I know the username of everyone listed that I have and I could just get a photoshoper to throw the name in the bottom right not toooo large and that way we would be able to know who it is.
;)



But also please keep in mind this.
If I start putting multiple pictures on the page it's going to make the price of this calendar skyrocket I personally think. Thats not good at all.... :(
 
Ok Guys, I'm running into a problem since the calendar is going to be 18 months instead of 12 months like most calendars. So they aren't wanting to charge me the normal price of a 12 month calendar, it's actually going to be the price of that + 1/2 of the price of another year calendar. This lets me down greatly because of the fact that I already said it was 20 bucks per shipped but now my pricing with shipping brings me over that amount actually. :(

So my question is this.

Since the pricing will come out to about $25-28 per depending on where I'm shipping them to what should I do?
A: Should I continue on and go ahead and finish this project and hope people will pay this amount for the calendars.

B: Should I junk the idea since it will now be over $20 dollars each to buy them and ship them out.

C: Turn it into a 12 month calendar and sell it for January 05-Dec 05 or either July 04 - July 05.


By no means am I trying to make a profit off this and you can ask multiple people that have talked to me about this and I'm definately trying to find the best quality plus the lowest cost possible.

If anyone knows someone that owns a digital printing press or owns one themselves please message me. I'm almost out of options but I will bust my ass and pull all the strings I can before I consider junking this project!

Help me dsm'rs
 
Dude, so many of us have already spent thousands on mods and maintenance. I don't think 28$, or even a few more bucks is gonna kill us.

:cool: I will be buying about 120-150 bucks worth of them for myself personally if they look good to me. :cool:

But you have to keep in mind alot of people trip out having to spend $20 bucks on some things, not like $25-28 is a big difference but you gotta remember alot of people wouldn't want to pay it.
