cable hookup.

so i got a datalogger cable off a friend, whos never used it.

it has 3 wires.

colors are

green
black
clear/silver

anyone have an idea of what pins they goto ? ? ?

ok , i tried all 3 wires, in diff order , and nothing , except do i have to turn the car on and off when i change the which wires goto which terminals ?
