bw gm-8 turbo any one running one?

Just wondering if anyone is running the bw gm-8 turbo thats recent.
I have read alot of old threads that didnt shed any light on what this turbo is capable of. I have one an, im looking to make 400hp. So im curious if this turbo can put me there. It cost me 50 bucks an, shoot what the heck if a 50 dollar turbo can get me cose ill take it.

any info of people running this turbo, spool threshold. Im also curious to of any numbers like hp an stuff.

Never hit a dyno, but no complaints here. Id guess im around 370-400.

Spool is similar to a journal bearing 30r. But I am also a 9:1cr 2.3L.

what rpm you seeing full boost at? i have a fully built 2.1 with 10:1 compression sounds like a crotch rocket, but its out an going into my next project. Im not to conserned with lag just curious?

blitz, i too have a gm8 turbo. i havent gotten a chance to test it on a car, but after talking with both talonalex and jusmx, ive come to the conclusion that this turbo could very well eclipse the 400+ hp goal, but it will be surge happy. it has a very small hot side (mine is .68 ar, just barely bigger than an audi turbo i have with the same t3 footprint) when put in comparison to its compressor wheel and housing.

anything over abot 18-20 psi and you will probably be seeing alot of surge. but, thats not the worst thing. they are robust and i still plan on throwing mine on when i can, just need to get the car up and going first.
