when idling or driving slowly there is a loud buzzing sound that is by the belts. Could it be the balance shaft because the guy that sold it to me just took off the belt on the balance shaft?

Dont quote me on it but im pretty sure when I read the balance shaft elmination you can leave the front shaft attached and just remove belt. Are their any wires loose on the alternator? Also are you sure its not coming from your front driver side speaker (happened to me ;)) Shut off stereo and see if sound persists.

:aha:ok guys finally figured out my buzzing sound. So i'm replacing the water pump and i started playing with the timing belt idler pulley and the tensioner pulley. The bearings were toast and had some play with a loud grinding noiseLOL
