Buying built tsi

Hey im gonna be buying a 95 talon tsi it has 6 bolt swap 1000cc inj. wide band, hks maf,aftermarket fpr, dsmlink, the car is running rough barley idles as soon as u push a lil gas it dies like the inj, are flooding it he says it needs tuned ne info be great buying tomorrow mornin

tune?? he has dsmlink.. u can tune it already?? thats odd?? why cant he just fix it.. bet there is something to it.. check if the dsm link works. .

i just needed to know what you all think might be wrong with the motor dieing on acceleration

he just bought the dsm link and put it in he says that he doesnt have the time to miss with it he seems like a stand up dude we seen the o2 sensor wires the fan caught and broke would that be it?? he says it has a rough tune on it

if you don't have that front o2 sensor hooked up.. well, that could be the start to finding the problem considering you need that one...

Well ask him if he has the original injectors and ECU? Put those back on and see if it will run better. You may not be able to push the turbo's limits with stock fuel but it should run better.

yea he has stock inj but not the ecu idles alright acts like it has a cam in it but it dont sounds like that kinda rough but idles but as soon as you add any gas it vuts out now u can miss with it a lil give fuel stop give fuel it will rev up he thinks the inj. are just dumping in it

so the wires are ripped on the o2?? are they stilll there.. take off the fan and if the o2 wires are still there splice them and connect.. and see what happens.. .

Complete sentances, spell out the words (ne1= anyone), punctuation. I had to read your posts a couple times before I knew what I was reading. Nobody is perfect but please at least make an effort.

I would cover the basics. Do a compression test, check end play on the crank, check shaft play on the turbo. Is it a 5 speed or auto? How many miles are on it? How many miles are on the engine? Was the engine rebuilt prior to swapping it in? Does he have any receipts? Is it front wheel drive or all wheel drive?

Based on the mods you listed, the guy just threw parts at it and didn't follow a good upgrade path. I think you'd be getting a headache.
