Buying a 2g... what should i look for?

can anyone link me to a site where i can view a checklist of what to look for in a used dsm?.. i saw it once before, but i cant seem to find it. Im going on wednesday to check one out, but im unsure of what to look for.. i know turbo shaft play, leaky seals and basic stuff, but what else should i be checking out... thanks for all the help guys...

I have no idea what site it is but I would also check the compression, check for crankwalk, and overall see hoe it runs. Check the timing belt and balance shaft belt. Also post what kind of dsm your looking at and the specs that you have. I noticed you're from philly im south of philly in aston, what part are you from?

also if its a manual tranny....check the clutch out.....when i test drove my gsx it felt butter, but yet and behold only a week and half into my "new" car i had to replace the master and slave :thumbdown

another thing i noticed is to check the pedals, if it doesn't have a lot of miles u can get a good idea of how the people drove it by wear on the pedals...just a little side note to check

check all the basic things like game said and if it's all good, buy that and welcome to the community

Make sure you start it up cold. If the harmonic dampener is wore out it, you might hear a clattering noise coming from the crank pully. Now when i bought mine they actually put octane booster in it to keep it from sputtering(bad plugs). A little irritating but not enough to keep me from my Spyder
