Buying 1gen , are these serious problems?

im looking at buying a 1g eclipse heres what needs done,



Odometer doesnt work "easy ? hard to fix?"


Door handle on outside of drivers door is broken off "sounds cheap but trying to find one that matches colors might be a bi***"

Roofliner is removed not sure which part the guy was refering too because I havent seen the car yet, but im thinking i can find a replacement at the junk yard.


quick replies please i might be driving 290 miles tommarow to get it

The only fix I can think of is to find a replacement console. Has to be within the last inspection mileage to pull it off. (NEver done it on a dsm,but I have on a diff. car)As far as the door handle sure you can pick one up cheap.If not at a junkyard. Im sure there are a bunch of parts car owners on here. The roof liner? Blah who needs one?

I was talking to one of my friends who says you can just replace a wire to get it working again. So Ill see, I might be looking at a differant one because that one is in another state and i dont feel like the long trip to las vegas for nothing

haha Doubt it the guy sounded like an old prude who gave 1 word replies. trying to sell his sons car he said its been sitting since his son left, i dunno if he means to Iraq or an extended trip to the grocery store?? He didnt elaborate very well. said it ran perfect but had 175k with broken odometer and had engine rebuilt 6 months ago.

trip to the store...hmmmm I say if its not to long of a drive. Id go check it out. New motor. Might just be worth it if the price is right. All the stuff you listed is minor.
