I am replacing my tired '93 7 bolt with a 6 bolt. I am between a Buchur stage 3 and a SlowBoy stage 2, 2.3l stroker longblock. Costs are similar with buschur being a 2 week lead and SBr 3-4 week wait. Nice thing about the SBR is already assembled and no core to ship. Many seem to prefer Buschur's work. Opinions from guys with experience with thess shops please? Thanks, Mark

I chose Buschur since that's where I started looking and spoke to David and am satisified I will get a well built motor and quickly. SBR is still a good vendor and will get my business in the future. Mark

talk to Mark at import engine, www.overbore.com :thumb: he is the mits expert and they sub nothing out and you will NOT have a thrust problem

So since you're made your decision and do not appear to be asking any further questions, how is this a tech thread?

If you look at the bottom of my thread you will see a revision was made. In that revision I changed the title and added the fact i had chosen Buschur. If I chose the wrong forum to start with I apologize as I saw others of a similar nature here. I am spending a good chunk of change to do this project and would be glad to hear from guys who have had a stage 3 buschur built and to know how much power you have made with this motor?! mark

I spoke with Mark and then emailed him but he never got back. Seemed like a nice guy but since I am having a 6 bolt rebuilt I am confidant Buschur will do the job as I understand he only does 6 bolts. Mark

WOW! I would hope there wouldn't be a problem since you're paying $2450.00 for a STOCK longblock!!!! ROFL

Thought you were being sarcastic about my Buschur choice when I first saw there was a response. My block will be far from stock and built from one of the proven best with DSM's. Now I see you are knocking overbore. I'll have JE's, Eagles, knife edged crank, balanced and blueprinted, no balance shafts, etc. Yes expensive but who does them cheap? Buschur assures me with the O-ring head I will NOT blow a head gasket and will be able to run 25-30 psi. Mark
