Hey, I am using the E931 eprom ecu with 29c256 chip. I am using tunerproRT and burn1. I need some help. How do I do the mass compensation for the 3.5" blow through gm maf? I would like to get it tuned close so the translator can be zeroed out. I think you need to know how many herts it flows at all rpm ranges but, I don't. Also the fuel and timing maps I am not sure what I am doing so if you experienced guys would like to help me I apriciate it. Mods are in profile and if you guys have any sugestions for tuning my curent setup I need lots of input. Thanks, Jason

There is no maf compensation changes.
You set the translator to 3.5" maf and stock injectors.

Change the injector size and deadtime appropriately in tunerpro.
Smooth out the timing map up top.
I took a lot of fuel out of the fuel map, there is no need to run 10.0:1 like it wants to.

Edit:
Add 330us to each deadtime value.

How do I take away fuel and what is a good amount? If I wanted to run a good fuel ratio for 91 pump and 20-22 psi? 24-26psi at track with c16. What should I change for that?

The fuel map shows the target A/F ratio. If your High fuel trim is close to 100% then your car should* be running very close to the target a/f.

I personally tune for 11.2-11.5 on pump gas, and 12.5 on race gas under wide open throttle. Of course this needs to be verified using a wideband to make sure it is doing what it is supposed to.

My pump gas map I took out alot of timing.
On my race gas map I added alot of timing.

What works for you all depends on the car.

Here is what I would do.
Get you injector size stuff done, and make sure your high fuel trim is close to 100% after a 100 miles of driving or so.
Then using a wideband get your A/F where you want it.
Set your boost where you want it.
Recheck A/F.
Then start changing the timing based on knock.

a few quick questions, Does anybody know the address for eliminating phantom knock and the numbers that need to be changed and what the new numbers should look like? Also does anybody know how to calculate the numbers for deadtime? I have 750cc injectors so 330 =deadtime I devided 330 by 24 and came up with 13.75. Which address and which numbers need to have 13.75 added to them for dead time.? Could you give me the new numbers for the address so I can be sure? And the load per rev value I want to change to 4.1grams per rev like the extended map guide at yahoo auto groups. What do I need to do to make this work? I already changed the timing fuel and octane maps like it said. But what else do I need to change to make this work?

I tried it today and it cranks but, won't start. (no sputter or spark but plenty of fuel) The stock one works but, is making the car run poorly with 750's and only a maft to tune with. Not sure but, I got a code 12, 24,25,31,42 and 44 that came up when my programed chip was in. If someone would like to assist me in this please pm me. Thanks

hmm.. did you try the phantom knock code?

I tried it lastnight on my brothers car and it wouldnt start. I must have messed something up, or didnt read everything through.

Change one thing at a time, that way if you mess soemthing up its easier to figuer out.
