bulbs keep blowing up

ok for some reason the bulbs in my taillights when i put them in.. they will work for like a day or so and then be out.. Ill go to take them out and the bulb has usually blown up literally. its the exact same light on both sides... the rest are fine.. Someone said check my ground but how? Or anyother reason's why this would be happening?

I'd sure like to know too, that's one of the reasons that one of my friend's scrapped her 1g instead of fixing it. Couldn't keep taillight bulbs from blowing out constantly.

check your fuses, when my talon's dome light kept dying after serveral replacements, i had a look at the fuses and someone before me put the wrong fuses in and it just kept short circuiting(i'm guessing). have a look at the kick panal of fuses and make sure all of them are givin the correct wattage.

ur voltage might be too high, check ur regulator.. thats weird its the same one though, check fuses too

Stick a voltmeter in your cigarette lighter socket and find out what your alternator's putting out.

ok well all the fuses are good.. but im not sure how to check to make sure the right fuse is in the right slot... second the cig lighter hasnt worked since i got the car so i cant check that.. also how would i ckeck my regulator?all of this started just out of the blue.. any more ideas and also thanks for all the responses so far.. keep em coming

Connect a voltmeter across any handy power connection and go for a drive. If the voltage gets above 15v you need to have the alternator looked at. (The spec says it can get as high as 15.4v at -4F but it shouldn't be higher than 14.9v at 68F or warmer)
