Hey guys...wanted to ask a few questions. Our shop car put down near 650awhp through our 5 speed a few months ago. Were looking to start the swap to an automatic and had a few questions about the shifter options for this car.

Were going to be running a 2g automatic transmission due to being able to run a higher stall and bigger torque converter. Our concern is the transfer case. I've heard the 2g transfer case WILL fit in the 1g body, but just want to verify it.

Also, is there a shifter kit made where you can just put the car in drive and have a standalone or a tcu control the shift points? Or are our only options installing a b&m ratchet shifter or manually shifting the stock shifter through the gears? I'd really like to find something where I could put it in drive and let the shifting be done for me. I'll be looking forward to the responses I get. Thanks guys!

try these guys for tcu reprogrammingForeign Muscle

I 2nd this if you want the TCU to still shift for you. I had Dave from Foreign Muscle burn me a custom Eprom for my Eprom TCU. I didn't end up using it in my car. (have a ratchet shifter and the kiggly wiring mod in my car instead) I put it in another auto car I fixed up and sold. Drove around with it in that car for a few days. Awesome shifts.

I had him setup that one mode was a reworked line pressure and shift point and the other of the two shift modes was a full line pressure have to shift manually mode setup for when I wanted full control of the trans.

Great prices too.
