Building an EVO8 block

I am building an EVO8 block and can't decide between CP Pistons or Weisco. I also need to know how to put the rings into my block. I have been doing some research, and most EVO people are just using stock bore drop in pistons.

As far as putting rings into your block you will need a ring compressor. You can usually rent one from the local autoparts store (ie Pep Boys). As far as the pistons I would check out evotuners and ask there. They are more likely to have a educated answer for that.

Just a side note, the evo VIII head bolts right onto a newer 2.4 liter block..all you need to do is transfer the oil squirters..everything pretty much bolts right back up. I have a bud in phoenix who is building those motors right and left..He says it's easy money...and a lot more grunt.
