I wanna build a BUDGET 400-450 whp motor. I have 1G 6 bolt block..1G big rods and good crank. I wanna get 2g pistons or Forged wiseco 8.5:1 pistons. Total seal rings, arp rod bolts, 4 layer headgasket, arp head studs. My turbo setup now is a Godzilla from Turbochargers.com and I'm gonna switch to either Buschur Racing TDo5/td06h and 75 shot wet nitrous. Maybe, some forged slugs will be a nice addition. Let me know what you think?

Have a read through this thread about stock press fit rods with floating pin pistons...

That will answer some questions about pistons and rods. Basically aftermarket pistons must run aftermarket rods. Stock pistons to stock rods. You cant mix press and floating.

2G pistons on your 1G rods, and have everything ballanced. That will take upwards of 500hp (have seen it in person) and run well with much reliability.

ok...well put in that furom. I'm just gonna have 2g pistons installed on my 1g big rods. Went to machine shop today.....talked to AL at Napa ..he said he'll hook me up...10 dollars a rod machine. I have broaght him so much work there so he is going to hook me up.
