so i have my gsx that i am currently rebuilding im gonna upgrade the internals but kinda new to the whole turbo thing so what is something that wont break my bank to bad like 5k and under turbos that will make my car able to keep up with the vette down the street ? should i upgrade cc's on the injectors what are some things i should do while im building it from the block up ? any help would be great :)

Please do this first ^

Do you have E85 available to you? That will affect turbo selection a LOT for a specific time or power goal.

We need to know what your goals for the car are. If you want to use the search function you can come to your own conclusion and get results faster but if not then give more detail. You don't need to build the bottom end if you want to "keep up with a vette", at least from a dig. The tune is where it's at along with fuel. E85 lets you get away with a lot more.

From what it sounds and looks like I wouldn't suggest E85 yet being is the amount of equipment needed to Reliably run E85. And yes you did not need to do build the bottom end to make 400hp+
Like all above Said, study upgrade path and this whole website. Just type in any questions into the search bar and boom. I've fully built my car shooting for 700+hp and had a new question everyday, but almost always able to find an answer but it will take time, building these cars are NOT for the impatient. But here let me make it simple....
Make sure ALL maintaince is up to date especially timing belt, if you don't know when it was change do it immediatly!!!
After that.... Intake, Intercooler and hard pipes, bigger turbo (16G size), cams, exhaust, clutch and fuel pump then you can easily be above 300hp. And as far as making reliable power get something to tune with asap and as far as building anything the head will make the most power when built and be less likely to fail at high rpm. Good Luck!!!

Keep in mind while you will "smash" mostly everything off the line, your launching technique is extremely important, especially when it comes down to clutch engagement. Harsh = slower and more stress than smooth rapid engagement. Failing to launch correctly in these cars will lead you to quickly amass a pile of broken drive-train parts.
