Broken Tranny

I recently bought the 98 GST in my avatar with a broken and dismantled tranny. The new one is in and now i am just wondering what i should do with the old tranny???? Its in a tub in the trunk of my eclipse in pieces and supposedly the first and second gear are bad. Should i scrap it? if so where should i take it?

I just bought a rebuilt unit on core exchange and he said he was needing cores.

yeah, checked there. It would cost me almost 100 dollars to ship it to him and the tranny is in pieces. I doubt i would get the full amount he'd pay for a core. Im not sure everything is still with the tranny. Good thought though.

what are the bell housing and internals made out of?

Cast alluminum and steel. About $10 at the scrap yard if completely taken apart.
