2G Broken Piece inside TCU!

I have been having issues with my 98 Spyder GST Auto.

At first began in limp mode and not wanting to shift and shifting into reverse pretty harshly. I did scan for codes and got back a P1750 code, cool. Drained trans fluid with the intention of swapping out solenoids, and of course fluid is glittery along with some small chunks. Found a "new" working transmission, swapped it in and shifted fine at first. However, code P1750 was back.

This time, decided to take out TCU and inspect, when opened I believe I had found my issue. This piece with 3 legs was broken off completely along with heat damage on the board. I have no idea what any of the components of the board are so any ideas/thoughts on what this piece and how it might've broken off?

What it contributes to? Solder on newer parts or swap for different TCU? Any help appreciated.

The transistor got so hot it melted the solder and cooked the resistor connected to it.

I'm guessing it's a driver for one of the solenoids given it's connected to the TCU pins but I'd have to look and the pinout and the board to say which. Putting another TCU in will likely also self-destruct. The trans or wiring is most suspect.

DAM.....got so hot it MELTED SOLDER and fell out? Something seems shorted.
Diode D107 saw some heat too. Its solder has got hot also it appears.

Thank you guys for your input, very helpful. Will begin to chase wiring harness to see if I can find something abnormal. It does have remote start installed (1st owner installed) but unsure where it was spliced into, if wired incorrectly, could this possibly be a cause for blowing up that transistor?

As for chasing wires, common areas to look at?
