Hi, well i decided to go ahead and i bought the Thermal research catback exhaust, while i was removing the old exhaust which was unbelievably rusty i ripped the O2 sensor out of its housing (the one after the cat), and i didnt have time to install the exhaust cause i was at a friends house so i drove home without the catback installed.

My question is , will it hurt anything if i run the car without the O2 sensor?? it drove home fine and no engine light came on but i couldnt tell with all the noise and shaking Isnt it only for emissions? i know i have to get a new one but can i drive it around and what would happen? anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

(i should have bought the damn downpipe and cat with it)

if you drive without the rear sensor it won't do anything to the car. All you're going to get is a check engine light all the time. my rear one is unplugged right now and i get a light after each time i clear it.
