My brother and I were changing out the turbo and he put his weight on the upper radiator hose. Well when he did the neck of the radiotor broke off. I jb welded it, let it cure over night. Put the hose back on and 20 minutes later it collapsed and I almost overheated!

I'm assuming jb weld didn't work because it was used on plastic, so I bought this gas tank repair shit. Like a bar of clay you roll up unti it changes colors.

Yes, I had that happen and I am just going to buy a new one. I personally wouldn't risk trying to repair that and end up having it cr@p out while on the road.

The plastic is shot. Cut your losses and get a new radiator. 1-800-RADIATOR will get a new one to your porch within 30 minutes, at the best price you'll find.

I just received the radiator that you recommended to always_broken. I payed $154 for it. It has solid metal end tanks and is what appears to be powder coated black. I am not sure of
the material of the core itself but, it looks pretty nice. It also has two nipples for an oil cooler.

They delivered it in 1 hour from purchase. It also came with a lifetime warranty. I will keep you guys posted on how it performs once I get my car running again. Thanks for the info Defiant. :thumb:

Mine cracked not fully broke off but I used some sort of marine glue they sell at home depot worked really well compared to all the other things I tried. I would just buy a new one though they are not that expensive new. I think mine was 117 shipped with radiators.com

a radiator repair shop or junk yard can fix it. they have a tool that will allow them to remove that endtank and install a used/refurb one, i'd guess cost in the $40-$50 range.

Thanks Defiant,

I just ordered the radiator yesterday and got it withing 2 hours. Looks really good, and I got my lifetime warranty.

I must say I couldn't stop smiling because I had to get by using a jb welded pvc pipe that leaked no matter how much I put on. It felt good to have that hose snugged on and filling that bad boy up FULL of coolant. No leaks, I'm very happy.
