Evo recaros are probably best quality for the money. You're going to pay more than $600 for a nice pair on average, though.

You should look at seats like a safety item. In that respect, they hold your ass in place if things ever go south. In some regard, you're paying for the brand when you buy brand name parts. But, you're also paying for the R&D, and, in the case of seats, the safety testing/standards required by most major seat manufacturers. The majority of the replica knockoff crap coming out of China and whatnot is not manufactured to the same standard, and thus made and sold and a much lower cost to the consumer. That's how almost all replica crap is...Wheels, seats, turbos, whatever...

IMO, seats are one of the many things were you get what you pay for. And, IMO not one of the things you want to cut costs on.

On an unrelated note, the seat brackets are just as important as the seat itself. You'll need to budget for the brackets, or be prepared to have someone who knows what they are doing fabricate a pair.

I am mostly worried about the safety of the replicas. I doubt much engineering for safety went in to them.

Also, if you aren't worried about your own safety, that is fine. But, for the love of God, never have people in your car. I dont feel bad about hurting myself as much as I would hurting other people.
