my car keeps breaking the centerhub out of the clutches first it broke an xtd stage 4 and then a sbr disc ive bought new dowel pins and cleaned the surfaces on the block and transmission is there anything else i should do to prevent me from killing my new sbr disc thanks for your time:dsm:

xtd stage 4 pressure plate and i have used a 6 puck xtd stage 4 unsprung clutch disc and i have used the slowboy racing 3500/4500 street disc and no the springs dont pop out the whole hub shears away from the the disc no unnormal wear or anything that i can tell just the hubs breaking

i dunno how to check if the bellhousing or the input shaft is aligned right but neither have been tampered with since the tranny came from tre but the bell housing appears to be sitting nice and flush

What is the clutch like before failure? Do you get ANY miles out of a disc?

Instant snappage?

Something is definetly wrong here.

I got over 10,000 miles/100+ launches out of my 16G, 650, Act 2100.

How is engagement? Just off the floor, have to pump it up, 3" off the floor.

Be a little more descriptive of your issue.

Is there a TOB on the Clutch Fork?

do you have the transmission spacer/starter plate installed? Its not broken or missing any chunks?

i got about 145 miles out of the xtd 6 puck and about 250 out of the sbr disc engagment was right off the floor with the xtd i think the my blown master cylinder was the cause because i changed the slave and master and the slowboy engaged fine i dunno about measurments but engagment felt like the stock clutch yes there is a new oem tob on the clutch fork, and i do have the tranmission spacer plate installed and it doesnt appear to be damaged. everything went fine until the said milage and i would hear a loud pop folliowed by some faint grinding and the car would begin to free rev only for me to pull the tranny and discover the hubs broke out. i dont really know how to be more discriptive than this because there really is nothing happening except what i stated in this post Thanks for everyones help i hope i can get this worked out

you might want to have your pressure plate checked at some local clutch rebuild shop, there's a few that i trust locally in my area. also do you know the clamping force of the press. plate? a lot of times clutch companies solve their holding capacity by making the clamping force rediculously high, and if there's any kind of engagement issue it will snap the centers. that's why you see a lot of 2600 discs blow up. i generally like to use a lower lb pressure plate with a better disc. (exedy 1940lb or act 2100)

Also you may also want to space the pivot fulcrum with a machine washer, ive noticed that this allows the clutch to dis-engage a lot better. you may also want to have the input shaft checked but i dont think that's the issue. im leaning more on engagement

when i do clutch jobs, i change the pivot fulcrum, clutch fork, throw out bearing clip, slave, master, hard line, extended rod.. I also space the pivot with a machine washer like i mentioned above. ive noticed that this rules out any possible issues with engagement parts. i dont skip anything

if you have it out again look at the backside of the fork, make sure there is no gap between the clip and the fork where it connects to the pivot this is also a leading cause of engagement issues.

It sounds like one or more of the following:
* a damaged or bent input shaft,
* bad pressure plate,
* incorrect flywheel step height or incorrect flywheel
* a damaged clutch fork
* just bad luck

very important well i guess i kinda forgot that part so im heading out to get that done(flywheel step that is) just got the info off of rre's website thanks for the help guys and i hope this was the problem
