Break in period for HKS cams??

Hey i jus got hks 272 cams installed on my 97 tsi and i was wondering theres a break in period for them?? get this i jus got a new motor installed and on the ride home from the shop, about 20 mins after picking up my car, it started doin the same knocking noise as it did when i blew my motor? the knocking noise is heard around the right side/ timing belt cover area? did i mess up my bottom end again? Or is there a break in period for HKS cams?? please help
